A new zlibc release is available. This is mainly a maintainance release. It's major benefit is compatibility with current glibc version (workaround for the private __libc_open function, which should cover most cases) and Solaris (tested on Solaris 10).
Zlibc allows executables to uncompress their datafiles on the fly. No kernel patch, no recompilation of the executables and the libraries is needed.
Zlibc (sources and RPM) can currently be found at the following places:
