Solution for RH8 or RH9 and zlibc?

Alain, Have you had any progress for a solution on the C library problem for these OS's? I know the glibc developers haven't been very helpful at all, but I was wondering if you had decided to look at implementing fopen and fclose the same as you did open and close and whether that would be feasible. Another time sorry if ths question have already been asked...but i couldn't find it on the archives. I need to use zlibc on Sun Solaris (SunOS 5.8). I've read that the library have been tested on it. I've tested and it doesn't work, I've had so many problems... at the install, now i manage that, but it still doesn't work .... So I don't understand why? Does it work or not on Solaris? If someone knows what I must do in order to use the zlibc on Solaris, he would be very nice...
